I had this problem. I got a vinyl pool patch and used a thin coating of silicone caulk on it. While deflated, place a heavy object on the patched area to secure the patch. You need to leave it cure for a full day. use too much silicone or it will seep out around the patch and also secure whatever you have holding it down.
